====== Ford Prefect ======
**Ford Prefect** is the deuteragonist of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy franchise. He is a [[the guide|Guide researcher]] originating from the planet of [[Betelgeuse V]]. He narrowly avoided the Vogon's demolition of the Earth by hitching a lift onto a Vogon Constructor Fleet ship, rescuing his good friend [[Arthur Dent]] in the process.

Ford is the semicousin of [[Zaphod Beeblebrox]], whom he grew up with.
